I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law. I study American political and constitutional development, judicial politics, and the separation of powers.

Welcome! I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in the Notre Dame Law Review, Presidential Studies Quarterly, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review Online, the Elon Law Review, the Texas Law ReviewLaw & Politics Book Review, NBC NewsThe Constitutionalist, and House Divided.

My research interests include American Political Development (APD), American constitutional development, courts & judicial politics, the presidency, separation of powers, ideas and political development, and constitutional law.

I received my Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2024 and my J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2021. From 2021-2022, I worked as a law clerk to Honorable James O. Browning, US District Judge for the District of New Mexico. In law school, I served as an Articles Editor for the Texas Law Review.  I received a B.A Cum Laude with Honors in Politics from Bates College in 2016.
