I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law and a PhD Candidate in the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in public law and American politics.

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law and a PhD Candidate in the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Public Law and American Politics. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in Presidential Studies Quarterly, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review Online, the Elon Law Review, the Texas Law ReviewLaw & Politics Book Review, NBC NewsThe Constitutionalist, and House Divided.

My research interests include American Political Development (APD), American constitutional development, courts & judicial politics, the presidency, separation of powers, ideas and political development, and constitutional law.

From 2021-2022, I worked as a law clerk to Honorable James O. Browning, US District Judge for the District of New Mexico. I received my J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2021 as part of the combined JD/PhD program. In law school, I served as an Articles Editor for the Texas Law Review. I also hold an M.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. I received a B.A Cum Laude with Honors in Politics from Bates College in 2016.
